Now that the regular competition season is complete for Lakewood Speech & Debate, we are kicking it into gear for the National Speech & Debate Association's Middle School National Tournament coming up this summer.  The following students will be representing Lakewood at the contest, which features over 120 schools and almost 800 students from across the United States and around the world;  Ella Seaton, Taylor Boase, Jack Kibbler, Suzie Chau, Haven Dunlap, Skylar Wilson, Layla Briley and McKenna White.  These 8 students will travel to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in June for the week long public speaking contest that is billed as the world's largest academic competition.
